Tegernsee was the most picturesque spot I have ever seen with my own eyes. I couldn't help automatically thinking that some of Disney's earlier movies inspired the architecture here, rather than the other way around. Tegernsee is about 700 meters above see level, and the surrounding mountains stretch up about another 1000 meters, allowing you to see all the way to Munich, or Austria depending on which way you are looking.
